Be Our Valentine
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with us at Be Our Valentine on February 12th from 10–1 at Our Place of Jefferson County! Enjoy a delicious lunch featuring a salad bar, stuffed shells, Italian bread, dessert, and punch or coffee. Stick around for live music by Rich Grimm, plus fun with a 50/50 raffle and auction table. A perfect way to share good food, great music, and wonderful company.

Christmas Dinner Party
Join us for a festive Christmas Dinner Party on Thursday, December 18, 2025! Enjoy a delicious meal, prizes, and live music by the Ron Retzer Trio. Doors open at 4:30 PM with dinner served at 5:30 PM. Admission is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. RSVP by December 16th and reserve a table for your group. Come celebrate the season with great food, good company, and holiday cheer!

Thanksgiving With Your Friends
A Thanksgiving event will be held on Thursday, November 20th from 10 AM to 1 PM, featuring food, games, music, a 50/50 raffle, and an auction table. Admission is $5 for members and $7 for guests. The menu includes turkey and stuffing, coleslaw, mashed and sweet potatoes, vegetables, dinner rolls, and pumpkin pie with whipped cream. RSVP is requested by Tuesday, November 18th.

Join us for a Halloween Celebration
Join us on Thursday, October 30 from 10 AM to 1 PM for a festive Halloween celebration! Members pay just $5 and guests $7, with RSVPs due by Tuesday, October 28. Enjoy live music by Rich Grimm, door prizes, an auction table, and a 50/50 raffle. Costumes are encouraged but not required, and there will be two prizes awarded for the best costumes. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Halloween with great food, music, and community!

According to the Parkinson Foundation of Western Pennsylvania, recent studies emphasize the need for regular exercise in managing Parkinson’s symptoms.

Local Parkinson’s disease group learns about evolving brain therapy
Members of the Our Place Parkinson’s support group learned about a newly approved therapy offering more consistent symptom relief. A progressive neurological disorder, Parkinson’s occurs when brain cells that create the chemical dopamine stop working. Dopamine is integral to coordinating the body’s movement, and a deficiency can cause various movement-related symptoms, such as tremor, stiffness and trouble walking or balancing.
